Heather this looks great! I got your email last night and read through the program . It made me curious about LibraryThing.com. I checked it out, and ended up spending over an hour listing my books and checking out the recommendations from others who had similar lists. Very, very fun. Thanks for this.

Thanks Marcia! I’m glad you are curious about these tools and I look forward to hearing your thoughts during ELL! (and we’ll have to “friend” each other on LibraryThing!)

Hmmm. Now I wonder how I “friend” on LibraryThing …

This looks like it’s going to be a great learning tool! It’s fun to reach out to the branches and other librarian’s blogs, although I have to admit I’m getting a little lost right now …
Heather, thanks for your learning blog – you’re one step ahead of the game for explaining what’s behind all the new terminology and I’m sure I’ll be using it a lot.

    Thanks Beatrice!
About getting lost: I’ve tried to make this program as organized as possible, but it can get confusing because the topics lend themselves to linking and surfing and general exploration.
One tip: Use this “23 Things” page as a jumping off point. Start here and follow each Thing, in order.
Explore the Participants’ blogs, but don’t feel that you need to keep up with every one.
As we move through the Things we will learns about tools that can help manage all this information (get ready for week 3: RSS and newsreaders)!
